Although this is a gift guide, it’s also basically my personal wishlist! So I know for a fact that the stay-at-home mom in your life will love this stuff too!
I decided to put together a gift guide specifically for stay-at-home moms. There is nothing I know better than what a mom who is home most of the day will love! If there is something that is going to make being home more comfortable, especially with little kids running around, I tried to include it on the list.
For every item on the list, I included a higher priced version and a lower priced version. Although, no matter how extravagant or reasonable the price, I would still love to receive any item on this list. Do not feel like you have to spend a fortune to make the mom in your life happy!
Apparently, anything from Barefoot Dreams is the softest most amazing thing ever. I found a robe from them, it’s beautiful but a bit pricey. Which makes it a perfect gift, I think! If you want a more affordable option, there is a Herringbone Weave Bathrobe at Target that looks super cozy and comes in a few different colors.
Budget: Herringbone Weave Bathrobe
Splurge: Barefoot Dreams Cozychic Robe
I wear my Chandra Suede slippers from Target every day and I love them! They are perfect just to quickly slip on and off, even with a baby in my arms. If you’re looking for some higher end slippers, these UGG Moraene slippers look dreamy!
Budget: Chandra Suede Scuff Slippers
Splurge: UGG – Moraene Women’s Slip on Shoes
I don’t know what it is about throw blankets, but you can never have enough of them. I think a really nice throw blanket would be the perfect gift! The faux fur throw I found at Anthropologie is so amazing, but I would never spend that much myself. Buy one for the mom in your life and she will be in heaven!
Budget: Chenille Throw Blanket
Splurge: Fireside Faux Fur Throw Blanket
4. COZY CARDIGAN
I could live in cozy cardigans and be the happiest person alive. When you are home all day with kids, being able to throw on a cardigan and still look cute is the best. There seems to be one cardigan that reigns above all the rest and that is once again Barefoot Dreams. I have not stopped hearing about all the incredible, buttery, cardigans that they make. However, they are way more expensive than the cardigans I usually buy for myself. If someone gave me one as a gift, I would be ecstatic!
Budget: Mossimo Cozy Cardigan
Ask any mother her favorite thing to wear while she’s home and I can guarantee she will say leggings! Come to my house any day and I will either be in leggings or joggers. However, not all leggings are alike and the good ones can come with a large price tag. Which means a nice pair of leggings would be the perfect gift to give a mom! The most highly recommended leggings I have heard about over and over again are the Zella Live in Leggings. I want them so bad! But if you want to get a fancier pair that can be dressed up, go for the Spanx Faux Leather Leggings!
Splurge: SPANX Faux Leather Leggings
I think mugs are always a great gift idea. Every time you get a mug from someone, it holds special significance and memories. Also, since I think most moms are coffee lovers, they can never have too many mugs!
Budget: “Mama needs some coffee” Mug
Splurge: One Bella Casa I’m A Cool Mom Mugs
7. COFFEE MAKER
Speaking of coffee…there is no better gift than the gift of coffee! I am so obsessed with my Ninja Coffee Bar System and could not survive motherhood without it. There is a cheaper version of the Ninja coffee Bar System and I think the only thing it is missing is the frother. As far as I know, they are pretty much the same. I have the system with the frother and it’s really fun to play around with, but either version is good!
Budget: Ninja Coffee Bar
Splurge: Ninja Coffee Bar System
Candles are great gifts for mothers. At the end of a long day, sometimes all that is needed is some silence and a good candle to wash away the hectic day. Below are some beautiful candles that I think I might just buy myself if no one gets them for me!
Splurge: Capri Blue Iridescent Jar Candle
9. INITIAL NECKLACE
I have this Bip and Bop name necklace and I love it! It’s delicate enough that I can wear it every day and it doesn’t get in the way of my motherly duties. If you want to get my exact necklace, click the link above. If you want more options, check the links below.
10. PERSONAL ASSISTANT
If you can’t get the mom in your life a real human personal assistant, then the Google home is a good option! This little device is all voice controlled so it won’t need mothers already taken arms to work. It can play music, you can ask it questions, set reminders, get recipes. It’s basically a mothers best friend!
Budget: Google Home Mini
Splurge: Google Home
This may seem very 1950’s to some people, but show me a mother who doesn’t want a nice vacuum! I would LOVE to get a Dyson vacuum for a gift any day. The only thing worse than cleaning up after your kids all day long is having to clean up after your kids all day long with bad tools, i.e. a bad vacuum! This is an amazing gift that will last for years!
I hope that was a helpful list or at least gave you some inspiration. What’s great about this list is that it can be used year round. Valentines Day, Mother’s Day, Birthdays, oh my! But for the time being…
I hope you give more than you get!
